how to set up my headset for best results?

flashteckboomzy

hello there,

i'm new to this forum, so sorry if i posted this in the wrong section.

Today i bought the next gaming headset : roccat kave xtd 5.1 true surround headset.

There are so many tools to set things up for example the program has 4 tabs:

1)Main control(volume settings: rear,front,sub,center,bluetooth)

2)advanced control(nothing to special i guess)

3) equalizer, this is the part I need your help with, there are like 10 things that i can move up and down(30 to 16k db)

(4) help and support )

So here is basically my question, i want to use this headset only for soundwhoring and gaming(i only play call of duty games)

I really hope someone can help me setting up the best settings so i can hear footsteps properly,,,

sorry for my bad english, i'm trying to improve in it! :)

thanks in advance!

Firstly, welcome.

Secondly, use eq settings to make it sound good for you, its quite objective. I would recommend using some of the pre-sets to see what sounds best for you, probably something that boosts the mids a little. Or just leave it flat if youre happy with how it sounds.

When in doubt, re-format.

You can probably find the best setup for gaming somewhere on the net.

Also, welcome! :)

It seems impossible until it's done.

EQ

This is what I use for most scenarios, slight mid boost. Give it a go, and remember, these aren't professional eqs for speakers, so there is variance from one to another.

The projects never end in my line of work.

Basically just kind of move them in relation to where I have them set. Minor adjustments are key. Also, just because they work for me, eh. I personally prefer a pro EQ. But this is a decent setting, should work with most.
