Intel Core i7 4790k vs. Intel Core i7 4790
Go to solution
Solved by AnnoyedShelf,
I am building a new PC. I was on the Intel website, and realized that there was about a $90 price difference between the 4790K and the standard 4790. I compared them and they looked about the same, so I was wondering, why the large price difference? Here is the comparison link: http://www.intel.com/buy/us/en/catalog/compare/395741/392803
Thanks in advance.
K series processors are unlocked, making them extremely easy to overclock. If you don't plan on overclocking, go with the 4790 and a H97 board.
