ModMic or Stand alone mic?

Hey guys, I am planning on getting the Audio-Technica ATH-AD500x or the ATH-AD700x and I need a mic to go along with it. Should I go with the Blue Snowball, AntLion modmic, or another option around the same price that you can recommend? Which of the two would you get? the 500x or 700x? thanks for your help guys!

the name is a bit off-putting lol

 

looks like that would get really uncomfortable under headphones pretty fast
