Advice Please?

Hey guys,

I'm xSpaceSheepy (Sam) and I'm new to the linustechtips forums and all.

So, I'm new to the whole PC world as I've only had a mac and it was for schoolwork and horrible for gaming so I'm wanting to build my first PC but I need advice and all to make sure that what I'm getting is good for the price range and if it'll be good in general for gaming. My budget is total around $1,100 - $1,200 without my peripherals because I already have them really (apart from a keyboard). So yeah, if someone could look over my build and tell me if I'm getting things that are good or not.

My Build:

CPU: AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz 8-Core

CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i

Motherboard: Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z ATX AM3+

Memory (RAM): Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600

Storage: Not 100% sure, probably going to go for a basic 1TB hard drive

GPU: Asus GeForce GTX 760 4GB ROG (Striker)

Case: Corsair 760T Black (Hoping for white though but it's more expensive) or Phanteks Enthoo Pro

PSU: Corsair RM 650W 80+ Gold Fully-Modular ATX

What I'm really wanting to know is if my CPU, Motherboard, and GPU is good and how fast do you think games will run on this setup. I know it's probably not the best, but it's what I can afford.

Please leave some advice and thoughts, if this is in the wrong section, sorry, I'm new...

Thanks,

Sam

if u can't afford above parts remove 1 970

6300 and 760 are too weak ,u put too much money in mobo, case, ram, psu

ur parts are overpriced while better quality parts are available at  much cheaper price
