Monitor does not wake after Sleep Windows 8.1

I recently reinstalled windows 8.1 due to the fact that my computer was f*cked to the point I couldn't uninstall Nvidia drivers to make an update without getting BSOD but now everything else seems fine except that now when my computer goes to sleep the monitor does not come back on on wake up.  I have looked at most of the other help posts for the same problem on-line but reinstalling the drivers, turning off hybrid sleep , turning off the turning off the monitor option in power options did not work.  Dunno what else to do so I came here.

Now I wish there was a delete topic button, I can't belive this but I went and messed around after making the above post and now it works fine..... bloody windows 8.1.....  :angry:
