Help with my website logo design!

Dubesta11

My website in the making, ZombieHedgehog.com. It is going to have different things like computer building guides, parts lists, and part explanations; its mainly going to be a good place to refer new people to.

Website aside, I will need a logo. My idea is to have a simple, cartoon zombie hedgehog. Similar to this:

Any ideas of what to do? I would like it to be green/purple, as well as noticeable as a thumbnail.

Edit: By the way, that was a picture of my hedgehog before it died, hence "Zombie Hedgehog".

While I do have an active interest in design, my editing chops are nearly non-existent. You could try keeping the circle motif as it seems to be popular on the internets; and turn the hedgehog into lineart. I no longer have a drawing tablet, or I would've given it a shot.

My secret is a low-DPI mouse, but its still not very good for drawing. I can see what I can do when I get Gimp. Also, I don't know if I can save the round form factor, it might have to be square.

For logo-making you're going to want to get Inkscape. Vector graphics are essential for scalable graphics.
