How to unlock a T-mobile Galaxy S2?

I've recentle got a galaxy s2 but its locked on t-mobile, ive tried everything including rooting the phone.

I have found this guide that everyone says that it works but i dont understand. can someone explain please?

Basically, you need to do this:

 

 

 

Turn off phone. Insert a SIM from another provider into your phone.

Click "DISMISS" on the Enter Unlock Code screen after the phone starts up.

Wait a minute for the phone to power on and settle down.

Go to dailer screen. press *#197328640#

The screen will change to the hidden menu as soon as you hit the last # key in the dailer

Press [1]DEBUG SCREEN

Press [8]PHONE CONTROL

Press [5] SIMULATION

Press [6] NETWORK LOCK

Press [3] PERSO SHA256 OFF

Wait atleast 30 seconds

press the menu key on the phone and select back option. This will take you back to NETWORK LOCK screen.

Press [4] NW LOCK NV DATA INITIALLIZ

Wait atleast one minute and reboot the phone.

Your phone should be unlocked.

I tried this on T-989 UVLE1 original ROM with root ON.

I haven't tested it on any other version or ROMs or any other phones.

Don't buy Samsung if you want an unlocked device, you're signing your soul to them /s. Congrats on the purchase, the s2 was one of my most favorite android devices back in the time(before Samsung became so mainstream)

You can get your Samsung Galaxy S2  phone unlocked from Network lock using unlock code. Unlock code is the best and safest way to unlock phone. You can get such codes for your phone from your Network service provider or any third party online vendors like SimpleUnlocking.com   here you need to specify your country, Network name to which it is locked, IMEI number of your phone. Then they deliver unlock code to you through mail with unlocking instructions. Using this you can unlock your phone from Network lock easily.
