Monitor vs TV

WhatComesAround

So I have an Xbox elite and I will be building a gaming pc and I would always want to kill two birds with one shot, what would be the better option TV or Monitor. Monitors have G-sync and can operate at frequencies of around 60-120hz, where as TVs im not too sure. One other thing I am concerned about is video input ports. I would love a comparison and suggestions.

Wait what are you hooking up to this monitor? G-Sync monitors can operate at almost any frame rate.

I'd go for a monitor, better clarity when up close, and usually better colors.

Also G-Sync only supports Display Port, and XBOX does not have a DP, it has HDMI, not supported by G-Sync

I forgot to mention that a G-Sync monitor has only ONE DP.

Get a non G-Sync monitor if you want to use the monitor for both PC and Xbox

I use my xbone on my monitor. Make sure you've got some speakers for it though since most built in speakers are god awful. If you're using a headset though, that's not an issue.

Tbh, I never actually watch tv anymore. Both my TVs haven't been turned on in well over a month. I usually watch shows on demand on my pc since my monitor and sound is much better on my pc!

If you can find a TV with a low enough input lag then I'd say go for it. Bigger is better IMO.

Not always If I used a 42" TV instead my 24" monitor it would look shitty cause I will be able to see Pixels Clearly

Unless he's gonna set 2.5~4 Meters ( I guess those were the right numbers ) I would Say 27" monitor is far better :D

I'm talking about 1080p nothing to do here with 4k -_-
