IS THIS build good enough to play latest games?

Go to solution Solved by VMaxMuffin,

This is a better way of spending your money. GTX 970 will be almost as good or the same as 2 GTX 760s or R9 280s in games that are EXTREMELY well optimised for SLI/crossfire, but you won't have the issues you get in games that have poor SLI/crossfire profiles. It is always better to get the single most powerful GPU you can afford. I also changed the CPU to the unlocked K version, changed the memory to a slightly cheaper set, made the SSD a bit bigger (optional but I think 128 runs out too quickly), changed the PSU to a Corsair RM (haven't heard particularly good things about the Antec High Current Gamer series, plus the DJ's cables are nicer in my opinion), and finally I changed the mouse to a better one.

Pointless to have non-K CPU with a Z motherboard

HyperX Beast is a waste of money over Fury

Crossfire R9 280 over SLI 760 any day

It's an SLI setup. He needs a Z motherboard for that.

OK it's time for me to go to bed apparently I cannot read at this time of night. Sorry.

I agree, the price difference isn't enough between K and non K to not go with K if you have to have a Z motherboard for other reasons.

well this one is 204 bucks over your budget but It's something I'd personally build.

The monitor is just Sex. Case is pretty good. black/red theme and for psu I still like corsair ax gold/platinum compared to their gold rm although the ax is more expensive. swapped ram to red. the psu has some black/red writings too. your mobo is red. a single 970 which I recommend but just in case you ever thought of going sli then add another one. or if you don't and in the future you want to upgrade it the resell value is better than dual 760.

no kidding that monitor I put although only 24" compared to the 27" one is 144hz, 1ms and a good stand :). I got 1 of those few days ago and it's just fucking hot.
