so my cpu's radiator cools better with one fan?

So i recently built my pc and because of reasons I didn't install the secondary fan on my cpu's radiator. It ran at around 38c idol. But i decided to use the second fan, so i installed it and i saw and instant rise in temperature it idols around 42c. could there be any reason why this happens

specs:  - Corsair Hydro Series H105

             - Noctua NF-s12A 120mm PWM

             - Intel i7 4790k

Idle temps don't really matter that much, other factors could've caused that 4 degree increase at idle. What are your load temps?

Note that the NF-S12A's are good airflow fans but in no way good radiator fans. They provide little static pressure even though the Corsair AIO's aren't too thick, they still benefit from having good static pressure fans on em.

See it comes down to the quadratic formula and rocket science. The air moving through is obviously heated by the fans because electricity and physics. So the increase in temperature is caused by the fans. So what you need to do is put the fans in reverse so they use anti electricity and make the air colder. Such a noob question OP.

But actually what @Shaqo_Wyn said. It probably has to do with the CPU and not the cooler unless you knocked something while installing the second fan.
