Hey Guys! I am looking for some people who would be interested in building a team for competitive Dota2 playing.

 

I have clocked around 500 hundred hours in Dota2 so I've gotten pretty good at the few players I've listed below. I am always looking for good ones to get good at though, if anyone can suggest a support I should work on, then that would be gladly excepted as well!

I am nowhere as experienced only having logged 70 hours, and zero ranked games. ON top of that I mostly play supports.

I also have a love hate relationship with Sand King. I love all of his abilities, but I cannot get a successful ult of with him so I stopped playing him.

Well I've played nearly 1100 hours, but I don't really have time for tournaments if that is what you're looking for.

By "tend to", I mean that out of those 1100 hours, I've only played like 15 to 20 hours as a support.

Well I have a few thousand hours into it, my main cast are:
Silencer

Doom

Chaos knight

Tide hunter

and Elder Titan
I like Elder Titan because he's a powerful unsung support, early game he is an annoyance and late game he can hardly do anything on his own, but in a group fight he shines, especially now with the scepter upgrade, all of his abilities win group fights, and he's powerful as long as he has a lot of hp, but he's also pretty useless if not played well.

 

I avoid using most of the characters that I feel are too powerful like
Slark
Bounty Hunter
Phantom assasin

Drow ranger

Ursa
Night Stalker

heros that just deal too much damage too fast.

Wraith King is my least well played out of the knights with stuns, I have trouble with mana management with him, Chaos knight, Sven, and Dragon Knight are much easier if for only that reason.

Is WK a knight?

Anyway, just keep an eye on your mana during battles. Make sure you have enough for your ult so that you can respawn with full mana and health.

Play that new "all hero challenge". If you hate/never played/suck with a specific hero, follow a guide from http://www.dotafire.com/ it helps a lot understanding something you don't (yet).

 

After you complete it (winning at least one match with all 108) then you can start to think about what's your best role and what's your favourite (it can be different), think about what you need to improve ([double] pulling, last hitting, nuking carries, jungling, denying creeps/heroes, juking).

 

Now you can begin thinking about competitive (captains draft) games.

 

If you don't know how to play with all heroes or don't know how to play with all heroes from a specific role you chose, you are far away from being a little competitive.

You gotta know what to expect from every enemy hero during: team fights, while juking, when choosing ganks and, most importantly, when buying your items.

Don't even begin to think every hero has only one build. Sure there are good builds in general but every game is different and you gotta let go of "I have my own build" for any hero.

 

I have 1.1k hours in DotA2 (~900 games), 4 ~5 years back in DotA All-Stars and I am only freaking-amazingly-good with about 15~20 heroes and totally suck with about 10 heroes.

I'm not sure what your definition of competitive is but, I'm gonna post anyway.  :lol:

 

I mostly play as support because most of the frikin players want to carry. 

 

I'll pick Rubick as main, for now at least

I can't really decide on a few others because I find it hard to pick once you've played many.

 

If you're looking to start on support, I think Lich would be a nice hero to begin with
