Xbox 1 and Destiny

ResoluteJ

So in a couple weeks I will be getting my tuition check from the school and I plan on using some of it to get an Xbox 1 and possibly Destiny.

From everyone's experience that has played Destiny in the short time it has been out. Is the game worth buying does the Crucible get boring after a few hours of play time. If you have beat the game is there a lot of replay ability after that?

I have a friend who got it. He also played the beta, and even after several hours of gameplay he said nothings really any different from what he played before.
I get the feeling he's going to get bored of it pretty fast.

I was in the same boat as you, planned to buy an XB1 for quite a few of the games that were coming out. However they all seem to be flops.

Titan Fall wasn't that great, Watch Dogs got stale pretty fast. Destiny, The Division, and CoD were the last games I had hopes for, but now that The Division and possibly Destiny are coming to PC I'm just going to use the money I'd have invested in that into the PC versions even if it means waiting a little longer.

I got Destiny. Trudged through what I played in the beta. Played through 2 more planets. Sorely unsatisfied.

The only fun moment in Destiny was osafuajosvthnasiufhcnasdjktvniaowyshkdfnvnigyu adjacnhviaweunhfdasjkn asunhyvhfaskjdfnhiaunoevniruadfhjkl [because spoilers]

That was it and it only lasted 3 minutes.

The Crucible is severely unbalanced and does get boring rather fast. Iron Banner is just an unbalanced version of the Crucible that seems to only come out on the weekends.

You also have to be in a clan to do raids and have to use gear that artificially raises your level to even run them.

It also has practically no direct story and you have to access Bungie.net in order to read your Grimoire finds which are laughably un-detailed.

Don't do it.

They could have made a rich universe with great lore and writing but decided to waste away money on black jack and hookers and retard down the game so they could allow it to run on last gen consoles.

Knowledge is power, guard it well.
