Is the Crucial MX100 a good budget SSD?

Im looking around for a good budget SSD to put some new life into one of my old laptops, is the MX100 a good choice?

It's got some good specs and great performance it also has 16nm flash (You can lookup the specs on google), sadly bottlenecked by SATA, but thats the only interface in my old laptop. Il be getting the 256gb model. What do you guys think? Any recommendations? Performance and reliability is what I am looking for!

Another budget SSD to look at is the SanDisk Ultra Plus

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Ok thanks for the help il be going with the MX100 since it's a balance of everything I need. And it's cheaper than the Samsung Evo and the SanDisk Ultra Plus where I am.
