GTX 760 Dual Monitor Setup

I'm planning to get 2 1080p monitors for my upcoming 1st PC Build and I have a question that I've been googling for almost a week now and haven't found an acceptable answer no matter what keywords I use since most of the results are for triple monitors and the answer for triple monitors is just simply NO for high/ultra/extreme settings.

The GPU will be GTX 760(2GB) as the title says and my intended use for the dual monitor setup is big data projects, penetration testing, programming, and other CPU-tedious tasks but I'd like to play games as well BUT ON 1 MONITOR ONLY while monitoring some datas and/or browsing on the other screen.

My questions are:

1. Can the said GPU handle my needs? If no, kindly specify what might be the issues.

2. Will there be no Screen Tearing since I'm only gaming on 1 monitor?

3. What do you think about the possible temperatures if I'm gaming?

4. At what settings could I possibly play games at 60+ FPS? (State the games you play and do an estimate. I can't seem to find a legit benchmark or even opinions of people for gaming on 1 monitor on a dual-monitor setup with this GPU)

Suggestions are welcome and if you think there are possible issues, please point it out as I'm gathering as much information as I can with this GPU on a Dual Monitor Setup. Thanks! :)

1. yes

2. its dependant on the game you play, not the amount of monitors you have

3. normal 760 temps

4. medium high @1080p with AA turned down a bit (not enough Vram)

4.1 the extra monitor wont have a big impact on the FPS

1. yes

2. the screen can still tear if vsync is off

3. less than 80 degrees

4. I almost have this same setup (gtx 670 and 2 ~1080p monitors) I can play most games at high while getting 60 fps and if it feels sluggy in some then just turn down your settings

I play csgo, bf3, bf4, skyrim, sniper elite v2, payday 2, l4d2 etc and they all run perfectly fine.

Thanks for the fast reply, I've seen some people having huge FPS drops like from 60+ down to 30s when at least browsing on the other monitor while gaming on the primary monitor, what do you think is the possible cause of this? Any opinion will do. Most of the threads I found were unsolved, I'd like to avoid his issue.

Is that fahrenheit or celsius? Either way, is that considered too hot or just normal?

Oh and I play CSGO too, how much FPS you got with your settings? Can you also state your settings?

Celcius that's normal, but can change depending what cooler you get

I don't really care what my fps is when its over 60 but if you look at some benchmark you'll see. I play at max settings.

i have pretty much the same set up as you are describing. 2 monitors off of my gtx 760 (Direct CU2). my main (new) monitor is a Benq 2411z (144 hrz) monitor and an older sub 1080p(slightly sub 1080) monitor for random monitoring such as GPU tweak and windows task manager etc. I dont find any problems/performance loss with having 2 monitors vs 1 for gaming or any other applications for that matter. I almost exclusively wear a headset so having fans and whatnot going higher then "normal" isnt a problem for me (in terms of sound) so my GPU temps usually never go above 55 degrees C. I also never get any frame tearing during gameplay (BF4 with most settings at high and some at ultra) but i do notice i dont get a constant "60 fps minimum" that i would like but would prefer it dip in the 35-40 FPS range for better visuals. I also have overclocked my 760 for hopefully a general performance increase, but my idle temps are about 38 degrees. i know this a long replay but hope it helps in any way.

i tried to upload a screenshot of my GPU overclock stuff but it keeps saying error 5005 i believe..im new to this site and am probably a noob and dont know what to do lol. but here they are in txt format

GPU boost clock 1111 Mhz

Min voltage 900 mV   Max voltage 1.202 mV

Memory clock 6102 Mhz

Power target 100%

GPU max temp 80 deg C

i have overclocked it all the way up to 1200 Mhz on the boost clock but got some instability with that high.

I have another question that I'd like to add on about this dual monitor setup. So, will this dual monitor setup deteriorate the GPU?
