Bitfenix Colossus top fan removal

Segleo

I want to change my stock top 230mm fan to a Spectre LED 230mm fan on my Bitfenix Colossus. The support page of the Colossus on bitfenix.com has a manual that shows how to get the top off.

The problem is that my case does not have the screws indicated. Instead it has a couple of plastic clips. Even with all of them freed, I cannot take the top off.

Is there something I'm missing? Any guidance or advice is welcome.

I'm pretty sure the clips are just for holding down a dust filter when not using a fan and that the fan is mounted using screws.

The fan is mounted with screws but to access them you have to remove the top panel first, which is supposed to be held in place by a pair of screws. Yet, those screws either do not exist or they have extremely good hiding skills.
