Noiseblocker NB-eLoop Fan

I did a comparison of the new Noiseblocker NB-eLoop Fans to the Cooler Master Sickle Flow fans, and some XSPC Raystorm fans. These fans are a little expensive, but are REALLY quiet and still push a lot of air. They have a very unique design, where they were developed after birds in flight to reduce the vortexes produced on the tips of the fins that give you that audible thump thump thump. The blades themselves aren't individual, they're actually one solid rotor. Feel free to let me know what you all think, any constructive criticism is always appreciated.

Sincerely,

Elegant Mess

I'm actually curious if Nocua will implement or has tested similar designs with the fused blade idea. if it actually contributes I can't imagine noctua passing an idea like that up unless it is patented.

it is patented

EDIT: it's the bearing type that is patented not the fan blade design

hey dude, you kinda screwd up in the sound meter test... the phone shouldn't have been in the way of the airflow. that's why the values were so high. the phone should have been positioned on the intake side of the fan

Antec TrueQuiet Pro fans have it too. It's the obvious solution to the problem, really. It's odd not more manufacturers do this.

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.

Ya I figured that out a little late :-( Thanks for the heads though, I do appreciate any and all constructive criticism. And I will be re-testing the db. this weekend and uploading it. Thanks again !

Well that's not very nice :-( I'm definitely not perfect and always strive to get better, but we all have to start somewhere

Yes they are quiet, and one of the best fans on the market (even better than noctua as well)  but the phone DB meter is sort of irrelevant + untrustable imo.

DB meters are around ~30$ and would of given a more accurate measurement

This is the "proper" way to do it IMO, but probably costs a pretty penny to set this all up. (Whenever I see a fan topic asking for good fans I always lead people here, it's a great review and probably one of the best ones on the internet for fans)

Thank you very much, I greatly appreciate it. I'm about to hit the sack because I've got to work in the AM but I'll go over that link when I get home. This was the first db test I've done on a fan so I didn't want to have to go out and buy more equipment just for the review. But I'll be re-doing the test this weekend a little differently to see if I can get a more accurate reading. Thanks again though.
