Pentium K build

milnor40

I already posted a similar thread but it just turned into an argument and my problem wasn't really solved so...

After seeing Linus' video on the Pentium K, I bought it straight away on a bit of an impulse. I'm pretty sure it will be fine, but I wasn't sure about just 2 cores; will it run games like WoW, LotRO just as well as any other CPU? Is it gonna bottleneck a 760? I'm only really going to use it for gaming and YouTube, other Internet stuff etc.

Anyway here's the build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Fs39wP

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Looks good to me! I'm working on a very similar build myself.

There wont be any problem with it. most of the games these day dont utilized more than 2 cores effectively anyway, so you should be ok

You have to get a cpu cooler for the pentium k its a sin not to. Its not very good unless over clocked.
