If you can get AMD's driver's working properly, dual 290's aren't bad. I have had AMD driver issue in the past, so i'd put my money into dual 770's/780's personally.

I have to trade SLI for SLI 1 card is not enough of a upgrade the performance difference seems too small.

Do not EVER use GPUboss for anything other than comedic purpouses.

2x GTX 570s are a force to be reckoned with still, however, the VRAM bottleneck is very decisive when running games from 2011 and newer and trying to use maxed textures, shadows and AA.

So while on paper 2x 570s may be core-wise stronger than a single 760, when you actually use a single 760 you will see a huge performance increase in all those games you were struggling with. A single graphics card will be enough for you to notice a big difference. I recommend a single R9 290, and upgrade to Xfire later if you're somehow not pleased (but you will be)

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

Here is the card I am thing about getting. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150697

near 780 performance cheaper also. I have a HX1050 PSU. What is the power consumption like on these cards?

I had a xfx 5770 in the past with zero issues.

the quality control for the XFX cards have dropped

if you can afford a bit more

pick the Sapphire/MSI 290 GPUs
