Anybody else have a Shield portable with update #82?

lunchboxdeluxe

For the last couple days, ever since ota update 82, my shield's battery is dying very quickly. VERY. If cpu-z is to be believed, all cores are running at full speed all the time. Running hot too, no surprises there. Anybody have the same issue? Any idea on a fix?

i just got a shield 2 days ago and it updated to the latest one, and i thought the battery was dying too fast. If i watch youtube for an hour im at 60%

Is that an issue, or is that how the shield's battery life normally is.

Post this on the Geforce Forums, because sometimes someone from Nvidia can help you

Obviously, your mileage will vary depending on volume and screen brightness, as well as what programs you have running... but yeah it shouldn't drain that fast. It's a bummer you're having problems already, the shield is a cool little device.

I saw there's some other people with the same issues on the geforce forums here:

http://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/765775/general-discussion/nvidia-shield-portable-ota5-release-82-now-available-for-download-released-8-5-14-/

you might want to consider reporting the issue through your shield...

Choose a topic and place "nvcc mg" in the comments.

They need the information to correct the issues
