OC >/=/< SC/FTW?

Hello!

Correct me if i'm wrong:

-The only difference between say a EVGA 750Ti, and a Super-clocked 750Ti is that the SC version is slightly overclocked, and guaranteed to reach the given box speeds.

-On-top of that, the 750Ti FTW Edition adds better cooling and a 6 pin connector for more power and OC headroom, as well as the guarantee of the listed OC on the box.

-In theory binning should mean that the SC and the FTW edition can be OC better than a plain 750TI

So that leaves me with the question, for those who plan to overclock their card anyways is it justified to spend the extra money, $20-$40 USD in this case, for the promise of an already overclocked card, and a card that should technically be able to OC better than a plain one, or are you better off paying less and attempting to get the same performance as higher cards with a plain 750Ti? Especially with budget builds, even $20 can make a difference.

thoughts?

The 6 pins can help with the OC. Usually FTW versions are better with superior cooling and more OC headroom. The 750 Ti don't produce that much heat but with the extra cooling it can give you more OC headroom. If you are willing to spend 20 more I suggest to look at the R7 265 or even the R9 270. Those cards are better than the 750 Ti

Not to be rude but this does not answer the original question :P.

Sorry the message cutted off (my internet connection went down)

Yes, FTW version are usually better performers. If the only option you have is the 750Ti buy the FTW version if you can, is very good and OC very well.

FTW versions have the highest factory OC and they have the highest quality components to ensure better performance and more OC headroom.I was recommending you the R7 265 because with that 20 extra bucks you enter at the 265 price point and that card have better performance. Anyways, it's your money and the 750Ti is a good card :)
