Razer megalodon refusing to work... At all.

Ok, So i know multiple of you people out there have read through this exact thread multiple time and all that.
But i just got the headset from a friend, and he has had it previously working, But i cant seem to do so. I know this is a driver issue and the headset its self is not broken.

I cannot get the device to pop up at all, any where. I've followed multiple firmware update procedures and none of them are working for me.

The closest i have gotten was using this technique http://rjtownsend.com/blog/how-install-razer-megalodon-windows-7-3264-bit%C2'> step 4 windows says the installation has failed and it is a unrecognized device.
Anyone who could be of any help would be much appreciated, and if anyone needs more information let me know. Cheers.
