i have 2 cpu+mobo option for my build, which is better?
AMD Vishera FX-8320 + MSI 990FXA-GD65

or

intel core i5-4670k + Asrock z97 Extreme4?

FX 6300 @ 4.2 Gigahurtz 1.325V ,  ASRock 970 Extreme 4 mobo  ,  Kingston Hyperx Blu 2X4GB @1600Mhz  , Asus GTX 960 DCU ii Black OC  , Hyper 212 Evo , Samsung 850 Evo 250 GB , WD 1 TB caviar Green , Xonar DG sound card , Seasonic M12ii Evo 620W PSU , Corsair 200R case ,4 random case fans.

i5 for single threaded games (anything made by blizzard and older games)

8320 for games that utilise more than 4 core (anything made recently and in the future)

Dont use an MSI board with AMD.

 

Their current boards have lots of issues. Some are missing LLC and others have had some rather exotic issues.

 

Get a 990FXA-UD3 Rev 4.0 if you want a budget AMD board that will OC well with 8320/8350s.

I'd say go the HD3 from Gigabyte. I would not recommend AsRock motherboards.

Simple answer is the i5 is much faster, but only if you're using a top end GPU. Otherwise, there won't be a meaningful difference.
