Posting for a quick review in case I'm missing something, and I have a question:

Is there something about this RAM not compatible with ASRock Z370 Killer SLI/ac LGA 1151? I couldn't locate it in partspicker.

I don't have a video card selected because I plan on using my current gtx 960 until I feel the need to upgrade. Budget was originally $600~ because I was planning on re using things from my old build, but I didn't want to deal with the hassle of pulling my ssd from my old build(still need it for something) so I just got a new one, and the RAM I have selected listed was higher than I expected.

The cooler is no where near enough for the 8700k.

I'm not going to be overclocking it for the time being, I just went with the unlocked version  in case I decided to later on, unless it is still lacking?

What is "stock" is an interesting question on any the recent top-end Intel chips, but if you enable XMP in the BIOS for the RAM, it's going to get close to thermal throttling.

If nothing else, it's going to be running the fan, loud, all of the time.

Thank you, I found that RAM I was looking at earlier, and switched it out with the one I had previously.
