Z370 & 9600k

Bought a Gogabyte Z370 Ultimate Gaming Wifi mobo and 9600k today.

 

assembled it, everything connected, fans and LEDs come on... and nothing on display.

 

DRAM light comes on, goes off, then VGA light stays on, computer then resets and does the same thing.  

 

Help me please.

Where did you buy it from?

Micro center.  How can I update bios right now?

Going to take it back to micro center and get a z390 I guess.

Hold on, Microcenter might be able to help you out ... see if they can flash the BIOS for you.

It would be like a 10 ~ 15 minute thing, and they shouldn't charge you anything for that.

 

The 9th generation CPUs will need one of the more recent BIOS firmware to be supported.

 

Also, do you have a video card, or are you using the iGPU inside the i5-9600K ?

I tested with and without the gtx1080.  I'll just get the z390 at this point.  I'm over the hassle right now and just sat in traffic.
