Samsung 860 EVO or Intel 660p?

So good SSDs have gotten really cheap lately, and I've decided to get one for my PC. So I can either get a Samsung 860 EVO 1TB for $180 CAD or I can get an Intel 660p 1TB for $190 CAD. I'll be using the SSD as a scratch disk sometimes, as well as for applications that don't fit on my other SSD. But I also want the SSD to last a long time and have great endurance so I'm thinking the 860 EVO will be better than the 660p for that.

 

So which one should I get? Thanks!

they are about the same. both great makers, both good quality and both take full use of the sata 6gb link. I would personally look into those, and the mx series from crucial (Micron)

I would say the 860 evo just because it's 10 bucks cheaper

One has to be proactive, not reactive, to ensure the safety of one's data so backup your data! And RAID is NOT a backup!
