Windows 10 Shutdown and fast start

Hi all,

I am getting quite frustrated with windows 10 and how it starts you back where you were after shutting down. I tried to disable hibernation through CMD and also disabling the fast start option in the power settings. However it stills starts with the programs open from before the shutdown. Just wondering if there is anything else I can do?

The option you are looking for is not hibernation, but instead "Pick Up Where I Left Off"
