I'm looking to get my brother a old beige pc case for Christmas and move all the parts from his current case to the new one. However, I cannot find any decent deals on a crappy case. I don't want some 'antique', I want a piece of crap. Does anyone know of a place where I can find one or have seen one for a reasonable price online? Thanks.

Does it have to be beige...?

If you want a piece of crap case, just go to pcpartpicker, set the filter to <$40 and take your pick.

Yes, he already has the ergonomic 1990's keyboard and i'm looking to stay with that theme because I also want to get him a beige Microsoft wheel mouse as well. Also I did look on pcpartpicker and the only beige case was out of stock ;(

I'd agree with Crunchy Dragon, if you're just looking for a cheap case. My advice would be to see if there's a local electrification waste recycling center around you and you can usually dig through their old junk and get one for little to nothing

Edit: Like I said, e-waste recycling center would have a decent amount of old hardware to pick and chose from, since that's the look you're going for.

Your best option would be to start aggressively hunting the used market for old systems.

Luckily, ones from the Windows XP era are just a waste of space if people still have them, so you can usually get them for dirt cheap, even free sometimes.

What would an example of a e-waste recycling center be? If your talking about something like free geek there's none of those around me. What other e-waste centers are there?

@Crunchy Dragon My area isn't bad for the used market, but it isn't a hot spot so i'm having no luck.

Thank you for the shorter explanation, my brain was at a loss and I was almost a paragraph into an explanation, haha

My local (I mean local, single store) computer store still has some old pcs and probably even some CRT monitors knocking about. If you've got anything similar I'd check there, or any kind of goodwill or other donation based stores that have electronics.
