Hello, I’m building a PC for my friend and I can’t decide on a case. Budget is not too much of an issue.

-He wants a case that’s not like the NZXT cases, with it’s minimalistic solid front panel. He describes it as ‘a metal box with a window’ Preferably the case can have a tempered glass front panel but it’s not needed

-He wants a case with a tempered glass side panel, but without any sort of ‘lip’ holding it in place. I will elaborate further with pictures’

-He also wants a case that has decent enough airflow.

-The case should also come from a reputable company to ensure decent build quality

I have linked one of the cases that meets all his requirements, but unfortunately it’s from a no-name brand and is out of production. As you can see, it’s side glass panel is held down by a few thumbscrews and no lip to slot it into(the NZXT H500 has a lip).

I was considering another case from the same brand but I would rather go with a more known brand.

Thanks in advance

Those two don't go well together, putting glass on the fronts restricts airflow quite a bit. in general closing it off does, looking at my CM Silencio 652S

As for recommendations, I'd first ask your friend what he prioritizes:

  • Looks
  • Airflow performance

Of course a happy medium is possible, but not both

As someone who owns one, I am very happy with it. It subjectively looks great and has good airflow and comes with filters.  Feel free to ask me any questions about my case. I highly recommend it.

Is there good cable management space?

He'd prioritize looks since he's not overclocking anything.

Would you suggest going for a Thermaltake View 22? He really likes the look and reviews are good, plus it's cheap.

Looks like a good case considering your friends needs.
