EVGA 450B3?

Hi all. I wanted to ask you a question. Is the EVGA 450 B3 a good option for a low budget team (like ryzen apu or intel + 1050ti / 1060 / rx570)?  I have a doubt. In a review of Tom's Hardware ( https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/evga-450-b3-psu,5160.html) they say that the b3 exploded at 580w load and that the OPP did not activate or something like that. In what cases can this happen? Thanks for your answers or explanations.

It's not a good PSU, get a Corsair CX450/M instead

Usually, when the power draw is over the PSU's maximum limit, there will be protection fuse that will blow.

In their review, the power supply was outputting 580W ( 130W over its rated limit), and some of the electronics inside blew up.

The fuse didn't trip -- which would save those electronics from blowing up.

 

This would only happen like in their testing .... trying to make a 450W run like a 550 ~ 600W.
