PC Upgrade

Hello everyone, 

My current configuration is:

CPU: i5-4690

GPU: Sapphire R9-290 tri-x

MOBO: ASRock H97 Pro4

PSU: Enermax Revolution xt 630 Watt

RAM: 2x4GB Kingstone HyperX Fury DDR3

 

I assembled this PC on Jenuary 2015, and now, almost 4 years later it started to lose a bit, especially on "recent" games. Having a budget of 300 euros what should I upgrade first ?

No, just upgrade the cpu/mobo/ram all together as opposed to invest more in a dead platform

Both of those gpus are literally the same as a 290x, that would be a waste of money.  Platform upgrade is smarter in the long run and he can fit a r5 in his budget, a b450 motherboard and 8gb of ram easily.

?? He has a 290x and 8gb is plenty.  He can upgrade that in the future way more easily than a gpu or another cpu

290x performs similar to an rx580. There's no point in getting a rx580.

Your point? More ram isn't better.  They have similar performance and it would be a waste to upgrade to a newer gpu that performs similarly.

First of all thanks guys for all the answers.

I think i'm going for the Motherboard+CPU+RAM, it seems to me the most convenient one. Just one last question, should I go with the 2x4GB DDR4 new RAM or just add 2x4GB DDR3 to my previous RAM ?
