Hello everyone,

My current configuration is:

CPU: i5-4690

GPU: Sapphire R9-290 tri-x

MOBO: ASRock H97 Pro4

PSU: Enermax Revolution xt 630 Watt

RAM: 2x4GB Kingstone HyperX Fury DDR3

I assembled this PC on Jenuary 2015, and now, almost 4 years later it started to lose a bit, especially on "recent" games. Having a budget of 300 euros what should I upgrade first ?

Thank in advance.

his budget seem too tight for a complete platform upgrade. I would suggest a GPU like RX 580 or 1060 6GB which viable in his budget including upgrade that i mentioned.

Both of those gpus are literally the same as a 290x, that would be a waste of money.  Platform upgrade is smarter in the long run and he can fit a r5 in his budget, a b450 motherboard and 8gb of ram easily.

🙂

8GB isn't enough and where is GPU? those are the two things he would most likely want to upgrade to.

290x performs similar to an rx580. There's no point in getting a rx580.
