Anyone here use Newegg Premiere?

DVA

Hi guys,  I want to know if someone here can tell me their experience with Newegg premiere. I was thinking about getting the 3 month subscription for $20 USD. They promise rush processing and 3 day delivery with private customer service and some other benefits. Do they stay true to their word on this, or is it just a shtick?

Thanks for any answers

Rush processing and delivery may be guaranteed, but I haven't ever had an order take over that with normal membership.  Private customer server?  Their CSR's are really good as is, what is the benefit of it being private?

If it gives you peace of mind, grab it.  I don't see any real benefit, but you're planning on making sure you have good cust serv for your monitor purchase I assume.  Newegg base is really damn good, I personally wouldn't pay for more.  I bought my 1080Ti from them, so I spend some coin on a single purchase as well.

Plus, any issues you have with your monitor are going to be addressed with the manufacturer not Egg after 30 days?  Til then, Egg takes care of you fine.

Thanks for the input. I am currently fine with their shipping timing. I've only ever had one issue with Newegg, which was yesterday. Well I guess it was their vendor, but it still made me consider getting potentially better service from Premiere. I purchased 2 Roombas for $600 bucks and I had two issues.

1.  - They delivered it to the WRONG house!! I only got it because they knew my dad and recognized the last name. Lucky me right.

2. - They only delivered one! When I called they told me they packaged both of them in one box, but the box came in an Amazon box and was barely enough to fit the one that was in there. When I called the vendor told them they packed both in there, but the woman spoke to them and told them what I told her and then they respond to me in an email saying, oh yeah we sent it in two boxes, not one.

So I was just wondering, what would have happened if I didn't call? I don't know, the experience was just something I'd rather not go through. Again, I know that's not Newegg's fault, but... meh :/

To your point, I DID buy my monitor locally at Microcenter because the price was actually cheaper than Amazon.  Might be the way to go for you if you're on the fence.

I have heard they have great sales at Micro, but the nearest one is in Dallas, an hour away from me. Not exactly the best route for me to go when I take into account the traffic.

So to get back on topic, I suppose I won't get premiere. I also bought a surround system and was debating returning it. The free return and no restocking fee also caught my eye. I just hate paying for return shipping and stocking fees :D

On your side note.. just got the Mackie CR5BT and they absolutely crush my old 5.1 system.  Clarity and punch are fantastic, but to be honest I should have used regular speakers for the PC a decade ago, since I have always been a fan of good audio in the living room.  A good 2.0 system is fantastic..  I even pruned down my living room to a 3.1 system.

Can you make a trip to Dallas for dinner with the wife?  2 birds, 1 stone.

I could, I absolutely could, but I'd get buyers remorse if the price dropped pre/post Black Friday. This year has been kind of nuts, retailers are having more sales online BEFORE Black Friday so it makes me weary when to actually buy.

I bought the 5.1 JBL Cinema 610 system, but it was a bit of a spontaneous purchase. I don't own an Audio receiver so I don't have anything to plug it into. The wires for the speakers are also solder dipped, I'd much prefer if they were pin plug-ins.

Yeah, return them, IMO.  Go listen to a set of reference monitors in Dallas :)

Doesn't Newegg have price guarantee stuff?  Also, the MC in Dallas does if I am not mistaken.

They do? I know they are price matching themselves if you purchase now and it drops later (during Cyber Monday).

I'll have to check out the Microcenter later today or maybe tomorrow, I'll let you know how it goes.

As per usual, my indecisiveness made me think about just purchasing a receiver, I've seen a few for $200 bucks and the wife wants it.

What receiver do you have?
