Weird pc issuse

Mitico

I'm trying to solve few problems in a friend's pc but it's driving me crazy.. Since first day she got that pc something was not right in my opinion but it kinda worked with some crashes and error's.. In the last month it got worse and worse, until now, where the cpu is always at 100% so as the ram, at idle or even in simple and not demanding old games.. At first i found out that her a10 7850k was overheating like hell (like 105° C max,but somehow it was not crashing anymore) so she got a hyper 212 evo which kinda solved this problem but still i get different temperatures on the cpu, on hwmonitor it shows 86 at idle, while on CoreTemp its never higher than 35 (even with the cores always at 100%).. Then she also had some sort of malwares in system32 folders (found out with a malwarebytes scan, that was my first guess for all the problems)..But now i dont know what else i can do to solve her problems and make that pc run normally as it should be.. Any suggestion guys? Except a fresh windows install after formatting, because at the moment she cant do that.. Would a windows refresh install help in any way? Because we also found out that the guy who build her pc used a crack/keygen for the windows 10 license and did a complete mess with the chosen parts..

The pc spec's are; Motherboard A88XM-plus, Cpu a10 a7850k, Gpu Asus rog Rx460 4 gb, 8 gb ram dual channel, 1TB seagate barracuda and vs 550 powersupply.

Thanks for whoever will reply

Oh temps at 86 at idle is pretty high...but malware (maybe a mining bug) and what not I would get a virus or malware scanner. But not even then does it always find it or not. I do a fresh install just to be safe. If it persist then id look at resetting the heatsink and making sure you have plenty of thermal paste.

My Rig: CPU: i9-9900k (5Ghz), Ram: 32gigs 3600mhz DDR4 CL16, MOBO: Gigabyte Aorus z390 Ultra, HDD: Samsung 970 Evo 500gig x2, Samsung 850 evo 250 gig, 2 TB Baracuda 7200 rpm,6tb WD Black 7200rpm, 4TB NAS, GPU: Gigabyte Aorus 3090 Master

trustworthy business operator, does he have a biz license or is it a neighborhood guy?

I would return it

I would ask for a refund

I would report the fraudster to the police and Bill/MS

Other then that, that o/s has a virus in it. Cant trust it.

I hope the purchase was on a credit card, call up the cc and see what they can do about that fraudster. CC's have lots of protections for the buyer!

But the weird thing is that the pc doesn't crash anymore, i mean after some temperature it would crash..

That guy has his own informatic shop and as far as i know,he sells built systems, but judging from this problems, he is an idiot.. Few days ago she called him back to ask him about windows license (so she can reinstall windows) he told her bs like "give me your email so i can give you a little software which will active windows for you,but you must turn off any antivirus on the pc.. Lately there have been some aggressive windows updates and that why your key expired".. Cleary he think's that she doesn't know what a keygen/crack is.. After he ended te call he sent her an email with that software in it,but it got detected immediately as an dangerous email..

However,so the only way to solve all the problems is with a fresh windows installation? I mean, the cpu can be damaged from the months of high temperatures?

Well he could be sued by microsoft and by you for saying he is a pc shop and selling illegal software. I would say a fresh install would be a good idea. It would be a good start for sure. But maybe check your internet/connection on your pc and make sure driver is installed as well..Maybe you forgot to install the NIC driver.
