We're thinking of working with Medal but wanted to reach out to get your thoughts first!

Does it work?

Would you use it?

Issues using it?

Any good experiences?

Any bad experiences?

Let me know!

PS: Yes I'm the new guy.

Haven't heard of it before now, but I'd definitely give it a try knowing you guys are on board.

Have to share my neato rocket league goals somewhere

Honestly, I don't see a need for this service. On the one-off, it appears to be a standalone version of Shadowplay's highlight feature, with a few extra tidbits.

As it is, I think I've used the highlights/clip feature for shadowplay once, and that was just to see how it worked.

Their list of features seems to be a little lacking as well, given that:
A need for a mobile client doesn't seem like a huge deal to me.
Hotkeys are a given in today's world. (and realistically, this would fall flat without it)
External sharing i'm assuming is referring to their own hosted service. I'm perfectly capable of sharing clips externally in a number of ways.
Watermarks are a quick way to get people to not use your software, especially if it's advertised as "free"
Cloud storage and external sharing seem to be the same bullet point separated out.
GPU usage being "minimal" is misleading given that OBS isn't all that heavy.
Direct messaging and discord integration seem counterproductive, or one in the same.

I'm all for new ventures and startups, but this is one I don't see use in.

I know I am quite late to this discussion, but I want to address some of the information listed in Semper's comment. I have been partnered on Medal.tv's platform for some time. The staff is extremely nice, and they listen directly to the community, they're amazing.

While Shadowplay could be used as a Medal alternative, and is a viable option, for some. People without an Nvidia card dont have this option.

As for their list of features, it is quite limited and they are still working on it, and it is growing every, single, day.

The need for the social client is bigger than you think, this isnt just a clipping platform, this is a social platform, where you can grow, and gain followers. Like twitch, twitter, or instagram.

They do have hotkeys.

There are no watermarks, the watermarks just say, Made with Medal, at the end which is easily clippable, plus they now currently have an option to download without.

There is literally no GPU usage, like, none.

There really is no discord integration.

Im all for new ventures too, and this one is amazing. Not to mention they have received 9 MILLION dollars in investments.

I really thing the LTT crew should partner with, or review. or even use.

I really think it would be amazing for you guys, and for the amazing Medal crew!!!!

I don´t see any need for that tbh. Besides having streamers that beg you to follow on another site besides twitter, facebook, discord, youtube, instagram, patreon and pornhub.

Seems very similar to plays.tv, which is free and without a watermark.
