You should get close to the same performance. Obviously there are always going to be some variance in cards, but you should be able to get within a few FPS at most to a good aftermarket card like the Strix.

Founders Editions shouldn't differ at stock speeds.

What they do differ in is quality of the cooling system.

Often being louder and running hotter.

If you plan to overclock, cards from ASUS/MSI/EVGA/Gigabyte that have better power delivery and binned GPU cores will perform slightly better, if you are into that stuff.

Not that good at OC, I just wanted to know if the performance are the same if both are watercooled, because the founders edition costs less then the custom ones.

If the FE is cheaper, as it seems you do not plant overclock and mind the extra noise/heat? I'd go for that.

A water cooled GTX 1080Ti would offer better cooling and offer you decent overclock.

Then the difference is a few frames. So get the FE one.
