RTX 2080 FPS issues

Nacho830

I recently bought Zotac RTX 2080 AMP, and I'm having drops on fps when I'm having all settings on low.

Im playing on 1080p and 144hz .

I have tried Overwatch with all max settings i got average 170 FPS, while all low settings are around 245 fps and drops to 190.

and Call of duty black ops 4 i get average 90 FPS on all high settings and 135 fps average on very low.

I was expecting a better preformance from this GPU.

Specs:

Cpu: i5 8600k 3.60GHz

Motherboard: Z370P d3

Ram: 16GB Corsair 300Ghz

Powersupply: Seasonic 750W gold

I have tried reinstalling Windows and driver and changed power management from nivdia control panel to prefer maxium preformance.

I don't know what is the problem, right now I'm having almost same preformance with 2080 as my old 1070

Make sure ow isn’t on dynamic resalution

u have to take it off 100 automatic and set it to just 100

i get locked 300 fps

in black ops also make sure nothing is on dynamic and res scale is not forcing u to higher res

Yeah but 100 automatic or actually 100 ?

May be a cpu bottleneck

actual 100, and i have 80-90% usage of cpu in gaming only while nothing opened in background but the cpu is overclocked to 4.4 ghz

That’s cpu bottle neck right there as some of the thread will Be at 100 percent

There is no way 8600k bottlenecks a 2080. Is there!???

If cpu usage is at 90 percent in ow and he is not hitting the 300fps cap on low settings then yes

Well if ur maxing threads out that’s why ur FPS is low

clean install windows many and get rid of anything running in background

Bring down render distance to 100

Post a screenshot in game showing your CPU running at whatever GHz it's running at. You have to tick the CPU clock speed in MSI Afterburner for it to show up.

Your latency in both the screenshots you provided is insanely high. Try gaming offline and see if your latency is lower. Might be your internet causing your issues.
