Hi guys. Next month gonna get a new gpu... I want the bether performance for 1080p 2x msaa (and upgrade to 4k next year) and I want the gpu to hold atleast 3 years(preferably 5). I'm gonna buy the aorus gigabyte version... What should I go for. There isn't much to find on the internet about this :(

there are literally hundreds of RTX2080 benchmarks out there in the internet....

Here, at 1080p your CPU will pretty much always be the bottleneck so it doesnt matter. at 4k the 2080 has a very slight edge over the 1080ti.

If you can afford it, get the 2080. If you like saving money, get the 1080ti while you still can.

It's not all about the benchmarks... Longevity driver in future etc... I want your opinion. Just looking at fps doesn't say all about a gpu

What do you think?

Do you think nvidia will supoort a 2 year old card longer than a 1month old card?

It doesnt matter though, as drivers are very long backwards compatible basically. You can run a 7 series just fine today.

My personal choice is the RTX. It is slightly more expensive than the 1080ti's (I was considering the ga waterforce at 850, rtx 2080+ekwb is 1000). The 2 years of support difference plus experiment RTX features make it worth it, I think. The rtx aorus cards seem prettier to me/my build/.

This also ties in to the local used gpu market . (Only current sellers for the auros wb bought at mining inflation and want the actual price for the product. Pre-inflation 850, inflation 1200, now used at 850-890)
