Good Bitcoin wallet

I want to get a Bitcoin wallet (I'm not mining I just need a wallet). What wallet do you recommend. I heard Logan say (yeah I know LTT form) that cloud wallets weren't as safe as software wallets. Also I'm assuming if I get a local wallet I should put it on my SSD because it's more reliable. Any suggestions would be gread
