Hey guys. Yesterday i was benchmarking my computer with a bunch of different programs on a fresh install of win 10 on a seprate SSD and tempratures where reporting fine. When i applied my overclock profile to bring my i7 6700 upto 4.4GHz at 1.3 volts MSI afterburner is reporting a cpu termprature of 100c constant and its not fluctuating nor are the fans ramping up so i know its BS, i went back to the bios and it was reporting a temp of only 36c. The weird thing is that my overclock is reporting the correct temprature in my main install of windows, once i reset the bios tempratures are reported fine in my benchmarking install of windows but report BS temps when overclocking again. I have reinstalled windows again for the benchmarking drive and it still reports BS temps when overclocked but back down to 22 degrees when using stock clocks and yes i do have an adequate cooler with new thermal paste my cooler is a cryorig ultimate r1. I have tried a few different types of monitoring software and they either report "100c" without fluctuation or nothing at all. Do you think it could be a buggy bios ? although i have always had sucess im reaaaallyy not keen on updating it.
Have had a look around the ol google and cannot find sweet f all about the issue.

i have had issues with aida 64 as well,

sometimes  it would say my gpu isnt being used at all when its under full load, and sorts of bugs like that, but it just went away after a while,

it only happened when i tried to run multiple stress tests at a time

i think its just something that happens with stress software sometimes

Hmmmm, interesting i just thought i would look at MSI after burner on my main install of windows and it is also reporting 100c constant. BUT i also have aida64 running with the logitech g19 pluging and it is diplaying correct tempratures on the little lcd. Maybe msi has been like this the whole time since i started overclocking :/  i have always used aida64 and the logitech plugin for monitoring the temp on my main install. HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
