gpu bottlenecks ram?

would a rx 580 / gtx 1060 bottleneck a ddr4-3600 ram? i've read that i wont see any performance increase from using a 3200 compared to a 3600 bec. it will be a gpu bottleneck and i need a higher end card like a gtx 1070 and up to see the performance difference. it this true?

RAM isn't considered a problem unless you reach speeds lower than like 1600 MHz on Intel or maybe 2400 on Ryzen. Your RAM does not affect your GPU at all. It only affects your CPU. Video RAM (or VRAM) is different; it is your GPUs own RAM, and it is built into the graphics card.

No GPU, doesnt have any impact on RAM unless you go over the VRAM limit of the card which will cause the GPU to load the memory with GPU tasks causing very bad stuttering in games. As long as you have a decent amount of VRAM on the GPU, 6gb+ you shouldnt have any issues in most games.
