speedfan constantly "not responding"

i'm trying to use speedfan but it constantly freezes, then works for a few seconds and then freezes again. 

 

specs:

2x Xeon X5650

48gb ram

Windows 8.1

She/Her

Phone: OnePlus Nord CE 5G | 128GB | 8GB Ram

Main Desktop: Ryzen 5 3600 | GTX 1060 6GB | 32GB Ram
Main Laptop: Acer Aspire V3-771G | Core i7 3612QM | 16GB

If it has worked alright before on same system, then idk. But if its just doing this on this system, them mobo probably isn't supported. One system used to crash when I tried to launch Speedfan on it.

Speedfan wouldn't work on my board so had to find an alternative. Found one and early days but it seems excellent.
