Recently i built a i5 4670k 1060 6gb 16gb ddr3 1666mhz ram, and it played games unusually bad. Especially on black ops, i'd have everything maxed out but with 40-50 fps, The game felt choppy, and changing the settings didn't change the fps at all. I also tried fornite and pubg, and was getting about 60-70 fps high settings on fortnite, and 70-80 fps medium settings on pubg. Is this normal? because i see people with higher fps on 900 series graphics cards.

what actual RAM spec do you have? not really a 1666MHz kit, possible 3333MHz (CPU-z) or BLCK overclock?

incorrect RAM settings can cause an ill of issues and problems like you are having.

so eye-candy on max, but what resolution and load/temps while gaming (HWMonitor app is best for these).

have you checked CPU/GPU usage when gaming? Not sure, but it could be possible that the 4670k is bottlenecking the gpu. Have you overclocked the cpu?

yea my cpu would be around 90%~100% while my gpu is around 60~80%. I never overclocked the cpu. So running everything stock atm

Whats the rest of the specs? The 980/Ti is significantly better then the 1060 BTW. It's most likely your slow DDR3 RAM holding you back.
