Pc Shutting off while playing game

I have a i7 2600 and a gtx 970 and i play most games on medium and high settings and ir randomly shuts down in middle of a game can anyone give me ideas on how to fix it ???

First port of call is “Have you added/removed/moved any components recently? If so then try reseating them.

 

Next would be temps.

 

1. Dust build up?

2. Fans stopped working?

3, CPU thermal paste aged?

 

HW monitor for fan speeds and component temps.

 

Once temps and installs are confirmed OK then its time to look at software.

 

Finally there could be PSU or other hardware issues but try all the other stuff first and don’t worry yet, it could be an easy fix.

It seems that ur PC is overheating.

Try changing ur cooler.

My PSU is a cx750m and i installed msi afterburner to see my gpu temps an its fine and i installed a temp for my cpu and the max it gets is 74c
