I'm almost psychologically ready to change my old kind laptop for a new PC. Desktop is much better choice as I can get better hardware for lower price and don't have to worry about overheating. And multiply monitors is also a great plus. So I definitely will get a desktop. The thing is.. Sometimes after work I like to play games laying in my bed. For suck case laptop is the option. Is it somehow possible to use my current laptop as an interface for the desktop - as a combo of a monitor+keyboard? Or at least as a monitor. I think I can afford a laptop and wireless keyboard on my bed.

i mean its just to get a longer Active Displayport cable and have a Vesa mount over the bed........

also if you are in bed i would recommend playing with a controller, a used xbox one controller can be had for very little, just get a USB to micro USB cable to connect it.

Not for a desktop.  You'd have to buy a tv or large monitor or something mountable that you can see or attach to your bed.  Just give up convenience in your bed and know that when you want to play something, you can sit down at a table and relax there.

in other words, dont spend money on a second monitor or TV for your Bed and rather get a nice chair.

"also if you are in bed i would recommend playing with a controller, a used xbox one controller can be had for very little, just get a USB to micro USB cable to connect it." I hate controllers. The only thing I can use it for without willing to throw it to the window is GTA 5 choppers...
No chair can make legs relax as bed can. I'm going to have two monitors on my desk so I can work with 3d graphic comfortably.
The other thing is that I rent a room and my landlady doesn't let me to change the room much. So the desk is in one side of the room and the bed is in opposite.

I've just google a bit. As I understand Remote Desktop option seems to be exactly what I need.

Lunchbox PC, best of both worlds....

I wouldn't count on remote desktop for gaming. I've tried a couple of remote desktop programs and they've both been entirely useless for gaming due to latency/lag. It's pretty common for there to be a second or two lag between input and response (even with 360mbps internet).

And what about Steam home streaming?

Some laptops let you use their display as a monitor for another device. A better choice in my opinion, as of now, would be to use something like Geforce Now. If you have a fast internet connection, you could use a laptop without a good processor, and run games with the power of a GTX 1080.

GeForce Now

Nvidia servers instead of new Desktop at least for games? I'll try it, thanks!!

Usiege, the beta for GeForce now will take a few months, but you'll get a good amount of power and you should be able to run all epic settings at 1080p60 easily. I'm trying it out for the first time tomorrow, but it's featured in a few Austin Evans' videos, and seems great. Keep in mind that if you want to run 1080p you'll want a 50+ megabit internet download speed.

I wonder how much time it take up for Nvidia to give me access to the service. I've sent a request yesterday)
I still will buy a desktop as my 3d stuff cannot be run on Nvidia servers.
I have 100megabit so it should be OK)
