Is this system stable or is something wrong?

Messing around with an older system, and for some reason, it refuses to run HWInfo. Sometimes it'll bluescreen, sometimes it'll just freeze. I disabled all of the things that could "cause issues" in the settings and it still crashes. Not only that, but speedfan seems to make it crash, albeit not right away. It'll run for a bit but then crash randomly anywhere from 5-10 minutes after I run it. HWInfo will get through ALL of the "startup" things, then show the monitoring window then BAM, crash. 

 

However, the system is perfectly stable in AIDA64 when stressing the CPU, FPU, cache, and memory. It's been running for a half hour now and it's fine. It's also stable in OCCT running the large data set. It's not overclocked at all.

huh. Thats weird. 

Considering AIDA 64 stress test doesn't crash the system, I think its fine. There might be something wrong with Win 7 and that version of Speedfan/HWinfo. Maybe try something like Open Hardware Monitor instead.

Oh also it's a brand new install. (After updates), and I've used the same version of windows 7 on other computers and speedfan works fine on those.
