DO not do this to a laptop you need. They can do that without any worry because if they brick the laptop its just a easy replacment. If you break your laptop its 100% on you to buy a new one. You have to be SUPER careful, laptops are not very good places to get conductive material on. I wouldnt bother with it, you can repaste it with Kyronaut paste from Thermal Grizzly, but i wouldnt bother with LM as it can get out if you move your laptop a lot.
