Does this mean that my laptop is dying?

It doesn't sound promising, no. You could e.g. install Intel's Extreme Tuning Utility and running the stress-test that can be found there -- if it fails, then there is something wonky with your system. It doesn't necessarily mean that the CPU is bad, it could just as well mean that e.g. caps on the mobo are going bad and it can't sustain the voltages required to keep the CPU stable. Just a quick question: was the laptop plugged into mains when you got this result, or was it just running off of battery?

Plugged into the mains( the power adapter is a few weeks old - replacement power adapter)

These are only test your cpu didn't pass.It isnt even fail, those tests didn't even start.Everything else, stress test included and temps seem fine.your cpu is old,no supported by intel diagnostic test and it is also cut down mobile version so compatibility is even worse. If everything runs fine i wouldn't be concerned. It is most likely driver issue or issue with a test itself.

For the past few weeks I was facing GPU errors and the 3 test causes the gpu to crash

Interesting, gpu passed (intel hd)the test.Do you have problems with dedicated nvidia 720m?

Don't jump from one thing to another, test one thing at a time; go install XTU, let it run the CPU stress-test for, say, an hour, and see if it fails or not. If it doesn't, then your issue is very likely to be elsewhere and you can move on to e.g. testing your RAM or your GPU next.

During the test the errors are related to the nvidia gpu. But I’m facing issue with both gpus movie maker and PowerPoint are reporting incompatible gpu/ not optimal

Did you try to manually disable dedicated gpu (nvidia) and run the test?It is quite common to run in all kind of problems when dedicated gpu decides to go.

Disabling the Nvidia gpu makes it pass the test.

im having a weird issue with the intel graphics as it causing apps to not launch/ making apps saying that it’s not optimal

Well you have your answer, dedicated gpu is bad.You can use you pc normally as long as you keep it disabled.I am pretty sure it is not viable to fix it,those mobile nvidia chips are really expensive.

The built in Intel GPU(not Nvidia) is causing errors and I can’t upgrade from windows 8.1 to windows 10( it would bsod and ask to re run setup).Disabling the intel gpu would disable the Nvidia gpu(device manager would report errors). The laptop was working fine till I decided to do a clean install of windows 10(since it’s slow- the pc was equipped with an ssd and it feels slow) once I did the clean install, the gpu problem started to happen

If disabling the nvidia make it past the test, how is intel gpu causing problems? You can disable either card there.Have you tried to install clean windows after you erased hdd?

The intel gpu is making movie maker(windows live 2012 )saying that it’s not supported, it also makes PowerPoint saying that it detected not optimal graphics configuration every time I go to slide show. Even apps like Facebook, Instagram won’t launch at all( Facebook and Instagram on the windows store ).

disabling the intel gpu makes the error disappear

I’ve did it multiple times and it still have the problem and Currently trying windows 10 1709 to see if the problem persists, this time using windows update driver for chipset and both GPU

In that case only thing you can do fix it your problems is swapping mobo.As by descriptions of your issues i assume mobo is goner. It is highly unlike CPU and GPU would start to exhibit malfunctions at the same time..

It’s a laptop, it’s the iGPU and dGPU that is having problem. And also I got this laptop late 2013, does this mean that this is the lifespan of a laptop ?

IGPU is part of processor.dGPu is standalone chip.Theoretical lifespan is up to 5 years.

So most laptop would last 5 years before they get some problem or they start to fail ? Also what’s the maximum amount of years a laptop can last

The current install of windows 10 1709 as of now doesn’t have any error so far but I’m noticing graphics artifacts, obs is showing black screen for screen capture
