3WARE Raid Card HELP

Hi there 

does anybody have any experience with the 3ware 8506-4lp raid card.

does it support jbod and is it reliable for raid1 and raid10

Can you even use that card? It's PCI-X which is very, very old. Personally I don't like 3ware cards, not the greatest reliability or performance. RAID 1 or 10 will work fine though as they aren't that demanding on RAID cards.

Why use such old card? Do you even have PCI-X? Actually it'll fir in normal old PCI slot aswell.. But hell.. A RAID card with no battery backup? Eh, eh, eh?

Bandwidth is rather crap if you do that though, does work though.
