Okay, so i'm planning to upgrade my gaming pc and I got on a conclusion that 16gb or ram is enough for any of the latest games, but my motherboard (a H-81M-H btw) have 2 slots of ram with each one a 4gb ddr3 ram. So i'm planning to buy 2x 8gb ddr2 ram, but I don't wanna just throw those 2 4gb ddr3 away, so there is any way for me to just get a 8gb ram and add it to the motherboard that only have 2 slots, like a "ram hub" or something?

unfortunately no, ram's bandwidth is unparalleled so there are no interconnects that let you use ram other than the preexisting channels.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Okay... So there is any cheap motherboard with 3 or 4 ram slots?

Better off selling your RAM on ebay or craigslist or this forums classifieds. It'll recoup some of your money and... 16GB is plenty and probably will be for years to come.

Wait, are you saying your planning on buying two 8GB DDR2 sticks for that motherboard, to replace the two 4GB sticks of DDR3? That board will not accept DDR2 DIMMs nor are they compatible with any LGA 1150 processor or the H81 chipset.
