issues with my cpu temperatures

Go to solution Solved by Derrk,

try reseating the cooler on the cpu. Make sure you have the proper fan headers connected for it. Check bios to make sure you have an adequate fan curve for the cooler

i recently built a new setup useing used hardware. its been mostly running fine but there is a apparent problem with my cpu tempretures. i am useing a Hyper 212 evo (i bought this new) on a Xeon W3670 with ic x2 thermal compound .  upon running a stress test via aida 64 after 10 minutes it hard crashed the computer as it hit 95 degrees.  could i have some advice on whats wrong with my computer.

It's a hot CPU on a cooler that's just enough to keep it contained in non-synthetic stress tests. If you want to survive Aida, try a second fan on the other side of the cooler, or even undervolt the CPU if you can to lower temps (at the cost of some performance of course)

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B
