Lack of sata ports

I'm not sure if this is the right place to be posting this since I don't often post or even read forums for that matter though I have found answers to questions on here before but this time I can't seem to find a good answer. I am looking for a solution to my lack of sata ports that wouldn't require a expansion card since I don't like the way they look. Basically I am one sata port short and as far as I can tell its not possible to split them or anything so let me know if you have a idea.

It also does not need to be sata 3

either use pci (m-sata or m.2)to sata which you dont like, or

External harddrives case/ connectors (need additional power in most case) or 

get a new motherboard

there are splitted data cables available on amazon or ebay, that is the best solution if you don't want to have an expension card

If you don't like the internal card you could use USB 3 if you have a spare header something like this maybe.

This one killed me. I don't know what can I suggest, because external devices may look not fancy enough for you too.
